Welcome to the Fort Worth Dressage Club, your USDF Region 9 GMO promoting dressage education and competition in Fort Worth, Texas and the surrounding areas. Come join us for our monthly meetings on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:30 pm at La Madeline at Overton Park in Fort Worth.

scholarship applications

FWDC is accepting scholarship applications from February 1 - 28. In order to qualify for a scholarship you must be a member of FWDC in good standing, have completed a minimum of four (4) volunteer hours within the previous calendar year, and not have received a scholarship within the last two (2) years. 

The Club has established this scholarship program to assist members (both Professionals, Young Riders and Amateurs) who wish to further their riding careers through education opportunities, which may become available. The program is funded by the action proceeds from the annual Club Awards Banquet.

Virtual Education Series

Circles, Circles, Circles, Why Always Circles?

with Gwen Ka’awaloa and Sarah Geikie

Wednesday, March 19 at 8:00pm EST

Gwen Ka’awaloa, USEF ‘S’ Judge and Certified Instructor through 4th level, will join forces with Sarah Geikie, USEF ‘S’ Judge, FEI Level 3 Judge and Certified Instructor through 4th level, to discuss the process of following the Pyramid of Training as you develop your skills and decide whether it is time for you to ride in a dressage test. They will dive into the importance of correct geometry in classical training, and how the training is the most important part of competing in dressage.

This program is free to everyone and registration is open and available HERE.

April 5 - 6, 2025

Amelia Newcomb returns to Fort Worth Dressage Club at the lovely Willow Draw in Weatherford, TX on April 5 & 6. 

Auditor registration is now open! Registration is $40/day for current FWDC members and $50/day for non-members.  Lunch is included for anyone pre-registering and completing payment by March 31st and auditors will need to bring a chair.  We hope to see you there!

Wings of hope

Dawn Johnson (L) presents Theresa Thomas (R) and Nugget of Wings of Hope a check from the donations collected at our registered show. Wings of Hope Equitherapy offers equine assisted services for children and adults with unique physical, mental, and emotional challenges. They have been partnering horses and humans in Johnson County and the surrounding areas for over 25 years.
